Data and privacy

Data handled by this site and by the software.

This site

It has no account, no form, no audience measurement and no cookie. It loads nothing from another site: the fonts are those of your device, the images and the video are served with the pages.

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages, and the installers are downloaded from GitHub. Like any host, GitHub receives the technical data of a connection (IP address, page or file requested) in order to answer; see GitHub's privacy statement.

The software

All computation runs on your computer. Your images are not sent anywhere.

Two tools query the Gaia star catalogue of the European Space Agency, and only when you ask: colour calibration on Gaia, and the depth measurement of the Analysis window. Only the coordinates of the field are sent. The answer is kept on your disk: a field is requested only once.

GraXpert and the RC-Astro engines, if you use them, are separate software: their model downloads and licence checks follow their publishers' terms. COSMO stores no licence key.
